Calling their music as ‘noise pop’, the band manages to straddle the fine line between forward thinking music and mainstream mass appeal. All while crafting a tightly produced, hook-laden rock album appealing to indie and pop fans alike.
Prana
This multi-racial band, which has been around
the Malaysian music scene for several years now, was first introduced to the public as a rap-core band in the compilation album titled 'Family Day' and later produced the Funk Core Rap album, 'Have a Nice Jaywalk' which resulted in Prana being nominated for the AIM 2001 awards for Best New English Artiste.
Two years later, they came out with their second album entitled, “Greenhouse Effect”, under the bands own independent label, Laguna Records and by the end of 2005, Prana's third album was released entitled, “Disc 03”.
The bands vibes come from a mixture of different types of musical influences and cultures. Prana write highly enthusiastic songs that deal with interesting places and fascinating people that they meet in their lives. Prana's musical influence would be reggae, funk, metal and drum & bass only combining these all into their own style.

One Buck Short is a Malaysian punk rock band from Kuala Lumpur, founded by Hafiz and Rahul during high school. The current band members are Mooky, Izal, Rahul and Imran.
One Buck Short has performed in opening acts for several international concerts including Fall Out Boys in Singapore, Good Charlotte, Panic at the Disco, and My Chemical Romance in Kuala Lumpur.
One Buck Short was nominated “Best Newcomer” in the first Hitz.FM Malaysian English Top 10 Awards in 2004. In 2006, the band was nominated “Best Rock and Best Live Act” in the Malaysian English Top 10 Awards.
SevenCollar T-Shirt
One of the most established local English bands, SevenCollar T-Shirt, have been active in the Malaysian music scene for over 10 years.
Drones, their sophomore album was regarded as one of the most crucial English releases in Malaysia and has since brought them touring around South East Asia and the United Kingdom.
The band is in the middle of launching their third follow up, which is tipped to be darker, edgier yet melodic, one of the musical trademarks that SCTS have always been fond off. Expect their third album to blow you away.
Bittersweet
Ipoh based, Bittersweet, began in mid-2004 heavily influenced by British music. After a string of successful EP’s and a couple line-up changes, in 2006, they released their debut album, Perfect Match. The album received rave reviews from all around Malaysia.
Bittersweet, comprising of Pijie, Herri, Hafiez and Emai, have since toured the nation and have built a solid fanbase from all over South-East Asia. Their music has made Bittersweet one of the most popular and successful bands in Malaysia.

In the year 2000, PureVibracion, Malaysia’s original Roots Rock Reggae act based in Kuala Lumpur was formed. Combining their musical experiences and various influences, PureVibracion, gave their full commitment to writing songs, with a clear message of spreading love, peace & patriotism.
The concept of their songs is all about increasing awareness to global issues, such as war & poverty, with the hope of spreading love, building unity, peace & respect throughout the world.
